Leschziner Lab Tutorials

The following tutorials are designed to aid in the understanding of the physical principles associated with our lab's research. Our goal is to make these principles accessible to all scientists, so that we may all participate in informed discourse. Once edited and polished on our lab's testing environment, these tutorials are freely available to the public.

This initial offering is a sample of the topics that we will be publishing on. Examples are available where there are blue links.

General imaging principles

Electron imaging

There are many considerations in imaging with electrons.

Three-dimensional reconstruction by EM

In a 30 second overview, the general process involves:

Reconstruction Methods

Accessories to the Electron Microscope

Some new, some old, there are many aspects of the microscope that may be changed, ostensibly altering the physics of image formation for the better.

Software Available

An overview of the currently available software, links, and general descriptions.
